Versus Viruses
Takot sa VIRUS? Kung takot ka sa virus, mula ngayon, wag na~! Actually, di naman kaagad ma-iinfect ang pc mo ng virus once you insert yer USB flashdisk and other removable devises. Here are the possible sources of viruses; USB Flash Disk, MP3/4 Players, Portable HDD, CP na Plug and Play, and Diskette (obsolete na ata to eh!) and here are my tips for you.
These works only in:
• PC that not yet infected by a virus;
• PC that that was newly formatted, or
• any PC that its folder option still ok and functioning.
First, before inserting a removable devise in yer pc, open first the folder option found in Tools menu in yer explorer’s menu bar. Pag lumabas na yung Tools window, click mo yun View tab, tapos hanapin mo to. Once nakita mo na, gayahin mo ang setting na nasa printscreen, (#1) then click OK.
If na-OK mo na, wak kaagad i-open ang Removable Devise. Open it using the Address bar. Click mo yung arrow na pababa sa end ng bar tapos hanapin mo dun yung devise mo. Pag wala, refresh (F5) then click mo ulit yung arrow. Para mas madali nman, diba may letter per devise? For example ang removable disk mo is letter H, type mo lng sa address bar ang H: tapos enter.
Once ok na, wak ka muna click ng kahit na ano. Pag-updated ang virus scanner mo, automatically madedetect nya if merong virus sa devise mo, antayin mo lang ng about 3-5 seconds.
Pag walang nadetect, tignan mo if merong mga Applications, JavaScript Files, VB Files achaka Autoplay/Autorun Files. Familiar ba? Pag me nakita kang ganyan, click mo isa-isa at isa-isa mo ring i-delete. Click tapos Delete, ganun lang. Gamitin mo yung Delete key sa ibabaw ng arrows sa keyboard mo para mas-Safe.
To check the other files/folder if infected ba sila ng virus, ito lang ang gagawin mo. Actually, malalaman mo nman if meron pang natira eh, kasi double yung mga folders mo, tignan mo ang kaibahan ng dalawa. Ang isa folder talaga pero hidden folder, ang isa naman folder ang icon pero actually, application xa. Once na click mo yan, BOOM~! Pag di yan nadetect ng virus scanner, ubos ang folders mo, convert to application yan, PLUS, mawawala pa folder option mo. Subject to REFORMAT na yang ganyan.

meron ding mga PC na meron pang Folder Option, ok pa lahat, pwede pa xang i-set, pero pag Apply/OK mo, babalik pa rin sa “Don’t show hidden files and foldes” which is malaking problema. Ito, magiging ganito lang if meron nang virus sa PC mo. Idunoe if me solutions pa jan pero para sakin, reformat mo nalang siguro. Actually, merong mga virus na di nakakapabagal sa PC mo, ang iba lang jan is “NAGPAPASIKAT” lang.
